060419-N-3527B-115 Atlantic Ocean (Oct. 19, 2006) A U.S. Army MH-47 Chinook, assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment approaches the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) flight deck during deck landing qualifications. The MH-47 Special Operations Aircraft is a long distance, heavy-lift helicopter, which is equiped with refueling capability, a fast rope rappelling system and other upgrades of specific equipment.
